Two-Headed Dog Demikhov Experiment

In the 1950s, a Soviet scientist named Vladimir Demikhov pioneered the field of organ transplantation using dogs shocked the world by unveiling a surgically created monstrosity: A two-headed dog. In one infamous experiment, he effectively transplanted entire canine upper bodies (including front legs and head) onto an adult dogs. This operation was planned and realized by Demikhov despite prohibitions of the Health Ministry.

The basic diagram he used to illustrate the procedure
The scientist explained that the canine head was attached by joining major blood vessels, they had a mutual circulation. Moreover, a dog had an ablated heart and lungs, so it lived due to respiration and blood circulation of a big dog.

severed head of a dog
In 1940, Russian scientists brought back a severed head of a dog to life  .In was an experiments on the revival of organisms that was held at the institute of Experimental Physiology and Therapy, Voronezh, U.S.S.R by Soviet scientist Dr. S.S. Bryukhonenko. In the video the dog's head were connected from a reservoir of arterial blood to the actual severed arteries, and while one pump transported the blood into the dog's head, the other drained out the oxygen-deprived venous blood.

By the way, the dogs in these video are heavily sedated so they do not feel pain. The dog's head are hooked into a heart-lung machine that slowly return the head to life. The heads were kept alive for several hours, wiggling their ears in response to sounds and even licking their mouths and nostril when the scientist rub a q-tip of acid .

These experiments were documented on film, released in 1940 as 20-minutes movie called Experiments in the Revival of Organisms. You can watch the video below.

The Time Traveler Photo

What is time travel ?

Time travel is a concept of moving from different point in time in a manner analogous to moving between different points in space,. For centuries time travelling possibility has fascinated many philosophers, and scientists -Albert Einstein special  theory of  relativity, laid the foundation for the theoretical possibility of time travel. He qualified the theory as "special" because it refers only to uniform velocities (meaning to objects either at rest or moving at a constant speed). However there are many clues around the web that people were actually travelled through time and these are a series of  image that claim to be the evidence that time travel has already occur.

The above photo was taken in 1940. Some people say the hipster-looking fellow with the sunglasses on the right side of the photo is a time traveller because his hair, shades, clothing, and camera that didn't exist at the time.
