Armin Meiwes, or as he so affectionately dubbed: The Rotenburg Cannibal, and his quest to find a man to eat. Also, how his quest ended successfully. Meiwes posted an advertisement on a website called "Cannibal Cafe", stating he was searching a "well-built 18-30-years-old to be slaughter and then consumed. The ad was answered by the 42-years-old computer engineer Jügen Brandes.

The event were videotaped to film as Meiwes begin to cut Brandes penis off for them both to eat. Brandes is still alive after bleeding for 3 hours and Meiwes decided to finish him off with knife stab to Brandes throat.Then, Meiwes buried Brandes skin and innards in his garden, but kept some meat in his freezer which he made a meal of the next day.

On 10th December 2012, Meiwes was apprehended by the police and charged for "glorificatio of violence".Later, the police found the remains in Meiwes garden and the 10kg of meat in his freezer. When the police found the videotape they determined that what killed Brandes wasn't the mutilation but the stab to the throat, and therefore Merwes was charged for murder.

Meiwes was convicted of murder and given a life sentence in prison. It has been written that Meiwes is sorry for his crimes and has become a vegetarian in jail. He believes that there are about 800 cannibals living in Germany.
